Jackpot

Last buyer standing wins.

A Jackpot coin has a clock. Every buy that is big enough takes the crown and resets the clock. When the clock reaches zero, whoever holds the crown wins.

The rules

  • The clock lasts 5 minutes, 15 minutes or 1 hour, chosen by the creator at launch.
  • A buy takes the crown if it is at least 0.05 HYPE, or 1% of the pot once the pot is bigger than 5 HYPE. The coin page always shows the current bar.
  • The coins from your crowning buy wait in the crown. If someone takes it, they come straight back to you. If you win, you get them back with the prize.
  • When the clock ends, the crown holder receives 80% of the pot. The other 20% starts the next round.

Why the coins wait in the crown

It keeps the game honest. Without it, someone could take the crown, sell straight away and still collect the pot. Holding the crowning buy until the round is decided means the crown always belongs to a real buyer.

You can turn playing off for any buy with the "Play for the jackpot" switch. A plain buy goes straight to your wallet.
